Marriage

Sacrament of Marriage

“Live at the heart of the sacrament of the Covenant, your marriage nourished by the Eucharist and the Eucharist illumined by your sacrament of marriage; the future of the world depends on it.” – Pope John Paul II

Congratulations!

To plan a wedding date at St. John the Baptist Church, engaged couples may:
1) fill out and submit the Initial Inquiry form below, then
2) setup an Engaged Couples' meeting  with the priest to select a wedding date.

Questions regarding date availability and fees may be discussed with the priest at the meeting.  We do not send a reminder, but if you need to cancel or we reschedule for any reason, you will be contacted.

Once you attend the in-person meeting, we will:

1. Pencil in your wedding date (contingent upon your attendance at one of these meetings with the parish priest) and

2. Provide you with the necessary steps to begin preparing for and planning your wedding in the Catholic Church.

Meetings are held at the St. John the Baptist Parish Offices at 146 Rector Street with the priest.   Please read all of the requirements and mark important due dates for fees and documentation.

All Confirmed wedding dates are listed on our Calendar.

Due to pending date confirmations, our office staff is unable to provide any dates or information over the phone.
All inquiries will be answered at your initial meeting date with the priest.  Thank you!

Remember to ask for the prayerful intercession of the saints upon your wedding plans, as we will be.

The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph

Ss. Joachim and Anne, parents of Mary, mother of Jesus

St. John the Baptist, our patron saint and defender of holy matrimony in martyrdom.

God Bless You!
