St. John the Baptist &
St. Mary of the Assumption Cemeteries

At St. John the Baptist and St. Mary of the Assumption Cemeteries,

Private visitation hours by appointment are Monday-Friday by calling
the parish office at 215.482.4600. The Cemeteries may be accessed from 10AM - 3PM, M-F.


St. John the Baptist Cemetery & Columbarium

 Dedicated in 1831 on Rector Street when the parish was established,
over 5000 recorded burials at St. John the Baptist Cemetery beginning with the
parish founding family. You are encouraged to make an appointment if you would like to visit.
Visitors are asked to be respectful of the grounds and the deceased.


GROUNDS
Only live or artificial flowers, wreaths, seasonal flowers 
and potted plants may be placed at a grave.

Planted flowers, trees, shrubs or other items are not permitted.

It is the responsibility of the owner to maintain headstones. 

This is private property under continuous video surveillance.
Upon entering these grounds all visitors assume personal risk and liability.

No pets, vehicles, alcoholic beverages or substances allowed.

Cleaning, repair, replacement, or addition of stones may not occur 
without the approval of St. John the Baptist Church. 

Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 may not enter without an adult.


St. John the Baptist Columbarium

Niches at our columbarium are available within
St. John the Baptist Cemetery at 4211 Cresson Street.

St. Mary of the Assumption Cemetery

Located at 370 Lemonte Street, Phila., PA  19128, is only accessible weekdays for visitation.
Please
call the parish office if you plan to visit to make an appointment.

ancestry websites, or findagrave.com. Parish Volunteers have populated much of our
cemetery information at that site for your convenience.
We are unable to provide ancestry research or certificates.

Documents for legal and identification purposes and related inquiries may be obtained
by contacting your state or county office.
