Safe Environment Program (SEP)


If you are a volunteer in any capacity at St. John the Baptist Parish, you must be compliant with the required trainings and background checks of the Office of Child and Youth Protection of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and complete part A below prior to volunteering. Once a clearance is obtained by clicking the link below, print the certificate and submit to the parish office to the attention of the Safe Environment Coordinator. Clearances must be renewed every 5 years.


A. CHECKS AND CLEARANCES

1. PA State Police Criminal Record Check

2. PA Department Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance

B. REQUIRED TRAININGS

All clergy, staff, and volunteers of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia who have regular contact with children (at least one time per week) must complete the Safe Environment Training outlined below within 90 days of hire or before beginning service.

You must set up a profile with a valid e-mail address and password to register / complete both trainings. Please keep this profile handy for Part II of the training once you attend and complete the Part I training.
